Mission Statement
Brooke Raybould, MBA, Co-Founder
Brooke Raybould is the founder of The Southern·ish Mama, a motherhood and lifestyle blog that she began in 2016. At the time, Brooke was pregnant with her second child and wanted to share her healthy and fit pregnancy journey with mothers after she had experienced excessive weight gain with her first pregnancy. During her second pregnancy, she committed to a whole foods diet and consistent exercise routine, sharing her journey and tips on their motherhood blogging platform. After gaining thirty healthy pounds during her second pregnancy, she was excited to quickly drop the baby weight thereafter. She announced on Instagram that she had the goal of losing the baby weight within four months postpartum. That is, until she realized that she couldn’t drop the last fifteen pounds despite a healthy diet and exercise for over a year. Committed to losing the baby weight, Brooke saw doctors, nutritionists and top health experts to gain answers and insight, only to realize that her lab results were pristine and her diet was in check, yet still no weight loss. Her frustration was at its peak, until she was introduced to a holistic doctor in the Nashville area who immediately put her on a medical grade liver detox focused on healing the gut and reducing inflammation in the body. It was the same program he puts all of his patients on, including cancer, autoimmune and other patients with serious illnesses, in order to help restore and reset their bodies. Following the seven day program, Brooke was finally able to reset her body and started losing the baby weight - fast. Through her success, she was inspired to share this secret with her motherhood community. Brooke holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Georgetown University and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. |
